      The following postgraduate degree courses with annual intake of students as mentioned against each course are being started with effect from the academic year 2011-12

Allotment of PG Degree seats at ESI-PGIMSR, Andheri, Mumbai

As per the judgement passed by Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, following is the
pattern of seat allotment :-
 Of the total number of PG seats (without any exclusion), 50% is contributed towards
All India Quota and these seats shall be filled up on all-India basis through NBE by
 Rest 50% of the total number of seats shall be filled up by State Quota candidates

Other Courses to be started in the near future -

  1. PG Courses (Degree and Diplomas): General Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Radiodiagnosis, Opthalmology.
  2. Paramedical Courses - Laboratory Technician courses etc.
  3. Certificate Courses- As per MUHS guidelines.


Fee Structure for the P.G Degree Courses at ESI-PGIMSR, Andheri, Mumbai.

The fee structure approved by ESI Corporation is based on the lines of Central Government Medical Institutions with a view to attract the best talent.

As per the guidelines of the MCI, the PG students (Degree/Diploma) are to be designated as Junior Residents (teaching). They will be paid Junior residency pay as per Residency Scheme of Central Govt. and which has been adopted by the ESIC as per the 6th CPC.

Fee to be charged on annual basis is as follows -

The above fee structure will be reviewed from time to time and is subject to the following conditions -

  1. A bond to serve the scheme at least for a period of 5 years will be executed by each student at the time of admission. The cost of the entire course will be recovered if one ceases to be in corporation service before completion of Bond period.
  1. If a candidate is admitted beyond requirement of the scheme a separate fee structure will be applicable / determined keeping in view the total cost involved for the medical education. This is to ensure that medical education on the same lines as in Govt. Medical Colleges is available only to those who shall serve the scheme on completion of their studies. Separate fee structure for this purpose will be advised an a later date.
